Cityscape
The main design principle was to take advantage of the buildings setting and it's location along the western elevation of the park. Large picture windows and balconies were introduced which took advantage of the views across the park and created interesting forms along the primary elevation. A key consideration was also to create an active frontage at ground floor level with front door access and private gardens / defensible space between the public and private realm. The projections are formed in zinc cladding and the elements are given further prominence by the contrast with the bright white smooth render.
