Musselburgh Primary Care Centre
This new Primary Care Centre brings together three GP Practices and 15 Primary Care departments into one integrated building for the community. The scheme incorporates a central east-west boulevard with entrances at each end and accommodation arranged on each side. A clear ETFE roof spans the entire length of the boulevard whilst courtyard gardens and terraces bring light, space and landscape into the plan.
The development is adjacent to an ancient Roman Fort and indeed an abundance of Roman remains were discovered on the site prior to construction. Nonetheless, the project was completed on budget and programme.
