Dingwall Children’s Nursery
The client approached us with a brief to speculatively procure a childcare facility in the town of Dingwall after identifying a gap in the market.
The requirement was for a purpose built and designed childcare facility for babies to pre school toddlers on a green field site in the local business park. Designed within guidelines for childcare facilities, supervision, staffing and area requirements.
With a back ground in large scale steel construction the brief hinted at a steel clad, steel framed building. Whilst combing modern construction technologies and insulation values it was important to retain naturally lit domestic scale spaces throughout and integrate the design concept both internally and externally.
