Peter Russell House

Peter Russell House

A Broxburn-based distiller has opened a £4.5m headquarters in the West Lothian town, adjacent to their existing bottling facility. Ian MacLeod Distillers has relocated to a 21,000sq/ft steel framed building on East Mains Industrial Estate, distinguished by two modern glass lantern roof lights modelled on the Doig Ventilator or ‘pagoda roof’ common to traditional distilleries.

Two wings of accommodation bisected by a central atrium provide office space, tasting rooms and a bar in the shadow of a shale bing. The design and build contract was delivered by Clark Contracts which also fitted out Peter Russell House with bespoke furniture including a reception desk, boardroom display units and timber screens.
