Capitol Building
A speculative office development situated on Union Street in the centre of Aberdeen, on the former Capitol Cinema site, offering spectacular, column-free, panoramic views of the city. The project encompasses the restoration and redevelopment of the B listed, original art deco cinema building. This is sensitively integrated into the new 10 storey office development behind, providing an entrance and reception. The link between the “old†and “new†elements is via escalators to reduce the visual impact and overshadowing effect the office building might have potentially had on Union Street.
The project recently won the British Council for Office’s 2017 award for Best Commercial Workplace in the Scottish Region and is now home to several blue chip occupiers such as PwC.
