Clydebank’s Queens Quay set for January start
November 30 2017
Clydeside Regeneration Ltd has appointed civil engineer George Leslie Ltd to begin marine works relating to the £250m Queens Quay regeneration in Clydebank. This will see a 40m wide esplanade frontage built around the basin offering the public access to the river for the first time since its shipbuilding heyday.
This will clear the ground for a mixed-use development spanning 80 acres of waterfront land, delivering 800 homes, leisure facilities, office space, retail and parkland. Laid out in a traditional urban grid, accessed by a spine road from which smaller routes will diverge to give access to new residential neighbourhoods.
2018 is set to be a critical year for the regeneration effort with works also slated to begin on a new energy centre in the first quarter followed by a £15m care home and £25m health centre by the summer.

Great to see this gap site being developed. Hopefully there will be somewhere nice to eat and drink on the riverfront at this part of town.
