Braemore Estates overtake the downturn on the A9
July 17 2008
The Highland town of Tomatin is to receive a new £5 million leisure development called “Juniper Village”. Brainchild of Perthsire based Braemore Estates the development has detailed consent for a 42 bed hotel, a 160 seat restaurant, five retail units and a whisky visitor centre. This supportive mix of uses aims to attract passing commuter and tourist trade along a stretch of the A9, 14 miles south of Inverness. Braemore perceive a gap in the market for this type of facility in an area which is under represented by quality restaurant facilities. Consequently a rapid site start is envisaged irrespective of media concerns of an economic downturn.
The project adopts an unmistakeably Scottish vernacular utilising log fires, flagstones, slate and stone with views across Strathdean and the river Findhorn.
