Shortlist revealed for RIAS/RIBA Awards 2017
March 29 2017
The Royal Incorporation of Architects has revealed a shortlist of 27 projects for this year’s RIAS/RIBA Awards following a first round of judging. This year’s panel includes Karen Anderson, Lorraine Landels, RIAS president Willie Watt and Stuart McKnight of the RIBA.
Watt, commented: “Year on year the quality of Scottish Architecture is on the rise. Despite an economic climate which continues to squeeze fees and challenge professionals’ ability to deliver, Scotland’s architects are delivering work of truly international quality to serve our citizens and communities.
"Last year’s Festival of Architecture shone a bright light on both historic and contemporary Scottish buildings, literally highlighting a tradition of excellence. That tradition continues and as this brilliant shortlist demonstrates, Scotland’s architecture is in very good heart.”

@ARB - interesting point, especially as its the most interesting building on the list...
(although it does look like they have a registered Architect on the books...)
good luck to them!
