£30m Perth city centre revamp on the cards

A £30m regeneration project for Perth’s Thimblerow car park has been announced by the Scottish Government, creating a new mixed use quarter populated by bars, restaurants, shops, housing, a gym and replacement multi-storey parking.The Mill Quarter is being spearheaded by Perth & Kinross Council which has selected Expresso Property as their preferred development partner going forward, following a collaborative marketing exercise with the Scottish Cities Alliance.
Deputy first minister John Swinney commented: “If Scotland’s cities thrive so too does the rest of the country, and I am pleased to announce this exciting new £30 million venture for Perth.
“By providing a unique new destination for restaurants, retail and leisure, the Mill Quarter development will boost the local economy by creating jobs and attracting visitors to the area.”
Holmes Miller have been appointed as architects for the scheme.
