Professor Robin Webster nets RIAS lifetime achievement award

Professor Robin Webster, co-founder of cameronwebster architects, has been honoured with a RIAS lifetime achievement award for his contribution to architecture.Beginning his career as a partner with Robin Spence with Spence and Webster Architects in 1972 before becoming active in academia as professor of architecture at the Scott Sutherland School – a role he held for 20 years.
Upon retiral Webster established cameronwebster architects with daughter Miranda and son-in-law Stuart Cameron, completing notable projects such as the Printworks, Glasgow and Cape Cove, Argyll.
RIAS president Willie Watt said: “As both practitioner and teacher, Robin Webster was one of the most influential UK architects in the latter half of the Twentieth Century. The fact that the practice that bears his name and is now fronted by his daughter and son-in-law, continues to win awards confirms that his influence endures.”
Webster was presented with his award at the annual RIAS Awards.

Brilliant! A well deserved recognition for an inspiring & energetic man who has been an enormous influence on many, many people. Well done Robin!
