Perth & Kinross Council press ahead with twin new primary schools
Perth & Kinross Council has selected BAM Construction to deliver two new primary schools as part of a £17m capital investment, accommodating 1,000 nursery and primary pupils between them when they open in the summer of 2015.

Oakbank Primary will incorporate a roof terrace and learning resource centre and break out spaces around the main teaching areas, replacing the existing school on Perth’s Viewlands Road.

Crieff Primary meanwhile will be built on a Greenfield site at Broich Road, adjacent to Strathearn Community Campus.

Both schools are being delivered by Holmes Miller, Blyth & Blyth, DSSR and Ralph Ogg and Partners and share design features.

The scheme follows BAM’s recent work delivering Eastwood High School in East Renfrewshire; Lasswade High School in Midlothian; Auchmuty High School in Fife and Dumbarton High Academy in West Dunbartonshire.
