G1 Group submit conversion plans for former BBC Scotland studios
G1 Group have submitted plans for the conversion of a former anatomy building at Queen Margaret College (latterly the former broadcasting studios of BBC Scotland) to form new office space and a conference facility.

Originally designed by Honeyman & Keppie the block on Queen Margaret Drive will be extensively refurbished with the unblocking of period windows and insertion of timber framed windows and doorsets.

The in-house design will include removal of all traces of plaster cement and paint and the repair of damaged stone and mouldings.
A two storey double glazed extension to the north is also proposed, clad in red and blonde glazed brickwork.

The former BBC estate will form the headquarters for G1 Group once its 100 staff decant from their existing base in the Merchant City.

Graven Images are being employed to work up the interior designs.
