Mott MacDonald & Keppie to build new Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary

NHS Dumfries & Galloway have announced the appointment of Mott MacDonald as technical adviser and Keppie as architects for the replacement Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary.The purpose built facility is needed to provide a more efficient and modern environment as well as offering 100% single room accommodation for patients.
Delivered using the Non Profit Distributing model the £200m scheme will be one of the largest of its type.
Richard Cantlay, Mott MacDonald’s project director, said: “We are delighted to be involved in this exciting and highly significant project and look forward to working with NHS Dumfries & Galloway to deliver a first class healthcare facility benefiting the local population.”
Graham McCorkindale, Keppie’s health and wellbeing director, added: "We are excited about creating the exemplar design for the new hospital and look forward to infusing the proposals with UK and International best practise and innovation."
