BDP eye spring start for Bathgate Centre

Construction work is to commence this April on the BDP designed Bathgate Partnership Centre, a ‘one stop shop’ for council services in West Lothian.Consolidating council facilities under one roof the development will house a library, advice shop, community centre and café together with open plan office space for council departments.
These facilities are designed to spill out into a south facing orchard and garden area.
Clad in random cut Caithness flagstone and seamed brass with a sedum roof the design is intended to effect civic presence whilst integrating within the local community.
Incorporated energy reduction measures will include natural ventilation and a heat displacement and recovery system.
Completeion is anticipated for Summer 2011.
