Turnberry Hotel has re-opened under the Starwood luxury Collection Brand after £40m refurbishment works were carried out by lead designer 3DReid and Fox Linton Associates on behalf of Leisurecorp. This saw extensive renovation of rooms, suites, external elevations and even the famous thousand red tiles in the roof of the listed building.
Central to the transformation is a restoration of ground floor public areas which has seen instatement of a new open Grand Foyer alongside old favourites the “Grand Tea Room” and restaurant “1906” which have each been restored to their former glory.
Famed for spectacular views out to Ailsa Craig and a list of outdoor pursuits that stretches from golf to falconry the resort is already a winner at this years Open Championship.
